US: Wall St opens higher after big corporate results

Wall Street’s main indexes opened slightly higher on Thursday (Feb 6), as investors evaluated earnings from companies including Honeywell and markets awaited US President Donald Trump’s next move on trade restrictions and other federal policies.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 75.9 points, or 0.17 per cent, at the open to 44,949.19.
The S&P 500 rose 10.7 points, or 0.18 per cent, at the open to 6,072.22, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 33.5 points, or 0.17 per cent, to 19,725.827 at the opening bell. REUTERS
